Where Is The US Air Force YAL-1A (747-4G4F)

What happened the the YAL-1A (747-4G4F). I was looking at the photos and its only been photoed at Everett. Where is the plane based? Where is it now? And most of all what does it do?

AFAIK it's at Edwards (Dryden) being outfitted with the LASER equipment and testing equipment.
