Jet Fighters At LAS

I just saw 2 jet fighters taking off off 19R at LAS. I can't ever remember seeing any military traffic at LAS before (Janet excepted). Is it a common occurrence that I was simply unaware of until now?

For the record, I am not even sure they were jet fighters.An unusually loud noise drew me to the window and all I saw was two aircraft small enough to be fighters on a take-off roll nearly side-by-side followed by a pretty sharp climb.

My former squadron landed a flight of 6 CH-46 helicopters at LAS once, right after buzzing the strip. Always nice how accomodating ATC was for a VFR formation of 6. Landed at Memphis and Sky Harbor the same way, and even got a mid-day clearance right over top of JFK once.
