Has the C-17 so far played any role in the war with Iraq. If so or if they haven't yet what kind of role will the C-17 play and will the aircraft be deployed only after the main attacks have ended.

The C-17 has already played a huge part in the war. They have been busy for months hauling troops and equiptment into the area. Flying the resupply to the troops during the war is also a vital role. Long after the war is over the C-17's will again be used to bring people back home and to bring relief aid and supplies into Iraq. The C-17 is busy doing lots of the work the old C-141's did in the past.

I just saw on the local news here in Seattle a C-17 taking off for Germany from McChord Air Force Base. It is transporting a team that fixes the Air Force and Army aircraft. They said the C-17 was heading to Europe.
My question was if the C-17 will be in the area of the war such as Kuwait or Iraq. Most of the C-17's right now go to Europe mainly.
