But this is like student pilot 101 - if you float down the runway longer than you should, you add power and go-around. Especially at an airshow, give the folks a show for goodness sakes and power up, come back around and do it again.
Seriously, what do you think is more embarrassing - a go around or running off the runway like that F-16 pilot? Maybe this F4J can take back to the air, but the taxpayer is going to have to spend a lot of money to get that F-16 back into mission shape.This is just so unnecessary, there is just no excuse for stuff like this in aviation.

That's the odd thing though; I can't say for the F-16, but the Fury didn't float. He touched down WELL down field, he just had way too much speed. It didn't look like he had any braking at all because that speed is basically the same as when he passed us south of show-center.
