Has occasional airsickness affected any current or former WSO's/RIO's/backseaters in aircraft such as the famous F-4 Phantom, F-14, F-15, F-16 and F-18's, usually after a brutal ACM engagement? If/when it happens during an ACM engagement, is that jet out of the fight for the remainder of that session? In a severe case, does the jet need to RTB to let the backseater recover? Or would someone prone to this type of thing have washed out of training waaaaay before getting assigned to an active squadron?
Just wondering if it happens, and what is done if/when it does happen. Gross, I know, but like I said, just wondering.
