Just saw the footage of Air Force One landing at CBR on the news and a DL plane was clearly visible in the background. Given the weather is fine in SYD today, I can not imagine this was a diversion. Guessing it may have been there in a related role for the Obama visit?

Probably the press corps. There is no way all of the press that follow the president around can fit into AF1 so all of the news agencies pool their money and charter a flight.

Well, I believe that Obama will also be going DRW and then somewhere to Indonesia, so if this is a media charter, perhaps it will show up in these two places as well!
