The LM plant in Fort Worth that makes both the F-16 and the F-35 employees went out on strike this morning after contract talks failed. The IAM local 776 in Fort Worth represents about 3,600 machinists at the plant, which is also known as US Air Force plant #4. There are about 14,000 employees in total at the plant, but the machinists strike could force LM to lay-off most of those other employees. The last time the IAM had a strike against LM was in 2003 and it lasted for about 4 weeks.
