For ECM training maybe? No reason to paint it black (as the Rolling Stones once sang!) as such, apart from separating them from the normal VIP machines.

The RAF painted their Hawk T.1s black after a lot of testing because it turned out thag glossy black is the best visible of all colours tested (including white and dayglo orange).
