Chdmcmanus,
Very good! Did you have to look in the -1? Just kidding, I wish I still had mine. I was a 436 AW manuals control nco for two years before I separated in 1993. If I had any idea of the Internet or of building The Aviation Zone back then, I would have certinaly keep that C-5 bible!

You guys did real well. However the sextant mount was installed on B's. It was yanked out very soon after arrival at home station. I wish it had stayed, the cockpits came home much cleaner when the inflt vac system was still in service. Also the A's never had an auto spoiler system like the C-141. And go around is still installed on the airplane. G/A will advance throttles if auto throttle is engaged (never done), but only give a stupid G/A light and a pitch up command. Go around would be an excellent system to yank out of FRED tomorrow. It is ME leaving home station which I find quite amusing.

JohnM : They should change the MEL to reflect this. It is stupid to have it ME when it isn't used. It's stupid things like that which causes tail swaps, and an embarising FMC rate. Maybe you should put in a Form 22 to have it changed, and collect your whopping $125.
Take care,
Brian
