Is anyone familiar with the significance of the P/N codes on the Grumman LEM assemblies, for example...LDW 340, LDW 280, etc. It is a long shot question as many here were not alive during the program but hoping some geezer like myself may still be breathing O2. I recently acquired an assembly and have compared the P/N's to those on the actual LEMS at a museum and they coincide. In short I am trying to identify where this assembly is installed.

I would try the Grumman History Center in Bethpage. They are right outside the main plant on South Oyster Bay Road. I would bet they will have the information you are looking for - they have an enormous amount of archival material from the history of the company.
I learned about this location last week from the "Cradle of Aviation"...never knew it existed. They apparently only open Monday/Wed. I will have to practice my "sick days"...thnx!
