One Tiger attack helicopter of the German Air Force crashed yesterday evening around 20:30 local time whilest on a training flight from Laupheim near Ettal in southern Bavaria. Both pilots were injured but survived. As the reason for the crash is unknown all remaining 28 GAF Tigers have been grounded for the time being.

I´ve read, that the Tiger detachment in Afghanistan is grounded as well. How many are currently based in Afghanistan?

Not anymore. While the reason for the crash remains to be unclear, current results of the investigation make it reasonable to resume flight, Bundeswehr says.
Fortunately, the pilots were only slightly wounded.

This is the only picture of the chrash site. Apparently, MAD (Bundeswehr's intelligence service) managed to keep journalists from taking pictures of the 'dismantled' heli.
