The Navy and NASA have been engaged in a bureaucratic buck-passing exercise regarding Hangar One for months.
Congresswoman Anna Eshoo's office said in an email that the move was made after a meeting between Eshoo, the General Services Administration, NASA and the White House on Feb. 26, 2013.
The feds have been sitting on a H211 (Google) offer to re-side the hangar in exchange for use, and recently they signed on to a new facility at nearby SJC.
Hangar One is a historic structure, built in the 1930s for the US Navy's dirigible USS Macon.
