Short answer, no the C-5 cannot do what is portrayed in that video. It's a trick - the camera is rotated while filming.
Hey AA, the 1960s called. They want their planes back!

I came across this video and thought it was a C17 as the video stated but it is actually a C5? Is the C5 capable of doing what it's doing in this video? I never thought of A C5 as an STOL aircraft.
Amazing thinks you can do when you rotate the camera in your hands.

It's not just a camera trick - there's some Adobe Aftereffects use there. The initial upward rotation after takeoff is done with the fence in view, which is obviously supposed to show that it's *not* a trick. But it's a special effect, and an easy one to do with the right software.
I'm tired of being a wanna-be league bowler. I wanna be a league bowler!

Hell yea! I agree with everyone else. Looks fake and the sky colors changes from blue/grey to white and back to normal colors. Thanks for the laugh to whomever created this.

Was questionable but wasn't ready to bet my life on it. If you look around 11-12 Seconds it seems the C5 begins to pitch up more and the angle of the fence stays straight. [Edited 2013-05-19 17:32:18]
