Greetings, Did not see a thread on this
What is the Status of the Omega Tanker program, after the loss of N707AR I have not seen any of the other aircraft at KSAT. The Omega sign was removed from the building and the sole spare 707 airframe was moved to the far side of the field in San Antonio. I know that it was planned to convert more DC-10-40s for this purpose and was curious if the program is still on track or if there has been a replacement program activated.

Omega's 12 contract with the USN expired earlier this year. The Navy wants another 12 year contract, but does not have the money right now due to sequestration. Omega still has a few contracts with the RAF, RAAF and RCAF.

Quoting 4holer (Reply 2): Saw a 703 Omega on flightaware a few weeks ago. Somewhere in the SE USA I believe. Could be wrong though.
You are probably correct. Omega is still flying some air refueling missions under individual contracts, it is just that their big 12 year contract has expired. Omega is just flying fewer hours now and fewer missions.
