Usaf To Fly Congress To FLA For Funeral

They used a C-17 to fly the late Rep Young's body from Washington back to PIE. I don't know protocol, but my original thoughts were that the C-17 was overkill. No disrespect intended and this has NOTHING to do with politics. As a resident of the Tampa Bay area, I respect and appreciate what Young has done over the years for our area and country. I do find the logistics of this funeral interesting though and any insight into the behind the scenes would be appreciated.

It looks like the USAF will fly Congress to PIE on Thursday for the funeral. What will they fly? The logical choice would be to charter from Omni/North American/DL/UA, etc.
