C-46 Usaf #477852, Help!

My father-in-law was in Korea/Japan 1952-1954.

Trying to find any info and or pics on this bird.

Tail # 477852, also the #422 may help.

Any info is much appreciated.

What is it with all the "is there a possibilty airline X will.." threads? The answer it'll is possible.

I think you would a better chance of finding someone with a photo if you added the unit your father-in-law was in, when he was in Korea and Japan.

Also, you could do a search using the unit's number, there are a surprising number of units with web sites, start with the wing and then the squadron.

delivered to USAAF Feb. 1945. WFA & stored 1959.
N9828Z registered 27 Dec. 1960 Vanguard Export Corporation.
PP-BTN registered 29 Nov. 1961 Paranse Transportes Aereos
N8265S registered 28 Nov 1966 Bellomy Aviation Inc.
WFU & stored

That is all the info I have of this aircraft. Hope it will of value for you.
