My father-in-law was in Korea/Japan 1952-1954.

Trying to find any info and or pics on this bird.

Tail # 477852, also the #422 may help.

Any info is much appreciated.

Mike

The best I can tell you is that was a block 10 C-46. The serial 44-77852 shows in none of my databases.

Is grammar no longer taught is schools? Saying "me and her" or some such implies illiteracy.

FlyingColors,

I think you would a better chance of finding someone with a photo if you added the unit your father-in-law was in, when he was in Korea and Japan.

Also, you could do a search using the unit's number, there are a surprising number of units with web sites, start with the wing and then the squadron.

I have no idea whether this will help, or even if the site is active, but try daveswarbirds.com. You may find a link or two, or an E-mail address.

One more source for information is the Air Force Archives at Maxwell AFB; known as the Air Force Historical Research Agency.

Web site address is; http://www.au.af.mil/au/afhra

Sorry for the delay in getting this to you.
