THis just in at 1120 local a Luftwaffe Tornado just landed in MKE. Thats the second Luftwaffe plane that is on the ramp here. Are we being invaded? The invasion comment was extremely sarcastic. I got pictures....hopefully they come out ok so that they can be uploaded

The Germans have Tornadoes, and F-4s based at Holloman AFB in New Mexico-and have for decades.
These planes should be heading to Cold Lake ,Alberta for Maple Flag 04.

There are more pic and topics in the military forum.

They both left yesterday afternoon. I think that the Luftwaffe saw the Milwaukee women and were repulsed by them, so the decided not to conquer our fair city and flew out of here.

Sure the Germans invading America the C-160D carries the new secret weapon called "V3" - 5000 gallons of real beer. Big grin

I would guess the Tornados are on their way to Holloman AFB or another training center. We haven't a bombing range where effective bomb-training is possible. This is due to the high population density in Germany.

- I have met a couple pilots from Germany that are stationed in New Mexico and they were complete gentlemen, nice as can be.  Smokin cool They were at Oshkosh at the time.

OK let me try this again, the planes should be on their way to Cold Lake, Alberta for Maple Flag 2004.
They are on the schedule for the first rotation. There are three overall lasting two weeks each.
