Hi!

I had the chance to visit Assuncion from 20 to 23 June and I notice some military stuff in the Assuncion Silvio Petirossi Airport. There is what it looks like a Air Force Wing sharing with the civil traffic. I saw the AIR FORCE ONE from Paraguayan Air Force, a well maintained 707-320C. I also saw 2 C-47's in good condition and 2 CASA C-212 Aviocars. Sharing the ramp there was a wfu CV240/340/440 from the Air force. Beside that the attack unit had a medley of 3 AT-33A/T-33A's, 3 Embraer Xavantes and 3 EMB 312 Tucanos, those I saw flying. I don't know if Paraguay have any other bases but it looks like a very humble Air Force.
Any comments?
regards

Dude, not everyone gets to be rich and buy an AF  Big thumbs up.

Anyhow, here is a good page on the FAP, with bases and order of battle:

Hi mate!

Thanks a lot for your information. Maybe for an uruguayan this is quite shocking, but indeed for me has an european Paraguay is still one of those mistery countries and everything related with that! I truly understand that Paraguay have the best they can, but I read very few about them so that's why my surprise. Now that I saw that homepage I think I saw 50% of their Air Force during my visit to Assuncion!!!!
Regards
