WHICH Balkan war
OK, OK, I know
Give a picture and maybe something will turn up, but as L188 has hinted most are now standard USAF grey which is effective over a larger number of landscapes making it easier to redeploy aircraft (plus saving on the cost of paint as they need less colours).

And all the use of Aviano cost us was the retirement of the excellent M1911 pistol, for the Itialian M9 Beretta.
Not a bad pistol, but definately not a .45

Yeah, that's the color they have been for some time now. I know in the mid to late 80's they were still in the European green colors when I saw them at airshows... guessing the switch was made in the early 90's to the grey scheme.

Would have been Mid-90's.
Was at Graf in Germany in 1993, when some of the A-10's along with some other allied aircraft where doing practice bombing runs on the range there.
They where still wearing the green paint at that time.

the change started in the early 1990s and was completed around 1997 I think.
Aircraft in the European theatre were the last to get the new livery, aircraft painted temporarilly in desert livery for Desert Shield/Storm among the first.
