Did I Just See A Broken C-130 Land At ANC?

Hey guys, was sitting here in the office just when one of the HC-130's from Kulis National Guard Base landed on 6R here in Anchorage.

When I was rolling out I noticed that the basket on the port side did not retract into the aircraft. The other side looked like it retracted completely into it's pod on the aircraft.

So it this a minor/common fault or is it an indication of a major boo-boo in the system?


OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

Ever see the video of the CH-53 that sliced the basket right off the hose? For all the nitpickers....it might have been an MH-53, it's been awhile since I've seen it.  Big thumbs up

It was an Israeli on for sure.

Seen it, pretty good video.

I think it is on aviationpics.de or it at least used to be.
