FYI: X-43 is flying for the last time this afternoon. If all goes well this will be a record speed flight for a non-rocket powered aircraft.

Flight is somewhat delayed for an avionics problem. Target speed is mach 10!

It was also the last flight of the B-52 (008), the oldest flying B-52. Sad thing is that is has no home other than the bone yard. No museum wants it. A huge part of history like the X series flights and many others will be lost. Sad....

I'd think the museum at Edwards would take the B-52B in a heartbeat. Where have you heard otherwise?

Give it a bit of time.....remember the prototype 707 spent a few years in the desert before it found a home.

Well the dash 80 was the property of NASM while it was sitting in storage. They just didn't have a spot for it.....

Edwards AFB Museum already has a B-52 on display. I heard it from one the guys who was working on the program from NASA. To bad the museum is closed to the public, it is an awsome place to learn and see flight history.
