What kind of Huey is this and what is the exact reg?
The number on the tail reads: 0 21676 (is this the correct reg?) This plane is now preserved... and i heard that this huey was used in the movie "When we were soldiers" Anyone can confirm this?

It could be 73-21676, a Bell UH-1H Iroquois. Anytime a serial number begins with an "0" on a US military aircraft, it may indicate that aircraft is at least ten years old. Here's my source for this particular chopper. Regards. http://users.rcn.com/jeremy.k/serialSearch.html

Ehvk,
Yes it is "we were soldiers" with Mel Gibson. Sorry, for the "when"... I have not seen the movie but i heard from several people that this exact Huey was used in it. I have to rent the movie to see if i can find any regs on the tails of the hueys flying....to make sure...
This aircraft is now located/preserved at Midland International Airport, CAF(Commemorative Air Force) veteran memorial.
It is such a beauty. But just did not know how to find and see if the reg on the tail was the exact or how that works.
