Fighter Aircraft Over Washington DC

Several fighter aircraft just buzzed over my dorm a few times, very low and in formation. They were moving fast but I was pretty sure they were F-15s. Is anything going on or are they just on normal patrol?

Its the civil air patrol.

Doesn't the Civil Air Patrol usually fly Cessnas? Big grin

A kid across the hall said he saw a triangular shaped black plane too, an F-117 I presume. Perhaps they were doing practice for what they plan tomorrow?

It's called an inauguration. And while open to the public, it is a private event. Hardly a demonstration.

They are part of the security cap for the 2nd. Inauguration. I am sure there are some UAVs up there as well.

Cameras shoot pictures. Guns shoot people. They have the guns.
