Great video! I've always been partial to US planes... but that stole my heart. Unbelievably manuevarble and just bad ass.

Sure looks like a sales video, a lot of flash (great maneuvers) but no specific information. Isn't that the same model aircraft that the White Knights fly in Russia?

No. The White Knights fly the SU-27. The aircraft in the video was the SU-37. You can tell the difference by looking at the front of the aircraft. The SU-27 has the wings and the tailerons where as the SU-35 has these as well as movable cannards in front of the wings. The SU-37 also has these movable cannards but also has 3D thrust vectoring which makes it more manoverable then any fighter flying today, including the F22 Raptor. That is why it's my favorite aircraft!

This is the SU-27

You can see the moveable cannards in front of the wings.

WOW! I knew it was a pretty good A/c but I had no idea it was that maneuverable. Does anyone know how fast it can go?

Try not to be jealous, we can't all be Czech.

Arggg, I remember seeing it at Le Bourget 99 IIRC, it was amazing.

Bewere, as indicated before and in the video, the 1st A/C pictured is the SU-35, without thrust vectoring.

Whereas the second one is the SU-37 n°711, always used during Airshows around the world.

It has the thrust vectoring and it is just unbelievable to watch perform the "Super Cobra", or full back flip.

No matter what anybody tells you, words and ideas can change the world.

It can go at least Mach 2.4, possibly faster but it's famous for it's slow speeds as well. The SU-27/35/37 can fly slow enough to escort helicopters.

Wow... I love where he goes into a loop, and then flips around on a dime... Incredible! I'd like to see how that F/A-22 compares to that. Either way, you have to love thrust vectoring.  Smile
