Military Jets Over MAN

Today at about 12:00 GMT, six Harrier hawks flew over MAN, or so I'm told...

Anyone any idea what they were up to?

Wasn�t today the "Trooping the Colours" parade for the Queen�s birthday? I understand that the RAF did a fly past with a Nimrod and two Tornados, maybe the Fleet air Arm decided to send these 6 Sea Harriers for the parade as well.

Could be in connection with the Mersey river festival thats going on all weekend, I know a Harrier is due to display there tomorrow.

BTW I know a display team were also in the area today, could be these ur friend saw too, cant remember which aircraft they were however, but heres a pic taken from today.

Looks like RAF Red Arrows Hawks from Scampton that's just down the road from me.
