C-2 Lands Sans Gear, Takes The Wire

Posted (9 years 4 months 2 weeks 12 hours ago) and read 1323 times:

CNN a few minutes ago had a live shot of a C-2 belly landing and taking the wire. They said it was Norfolk but I think they meant Oceana. Starboard engine shutdown & feathered prior to touchdown....

you just beat me to it good thing everybody was ok and it landed safefully and hope everything goes well with the investigation to follow. just happy it wasn't like the helios 737 and a good ending for the crew.

Good job by the crew - the report on CNN.com says they circled "for hours" to get the emergency procedure down as to how they would land the craft.
