I'm considering going to the Edwards Air Force Base Open House and Air Show on Oct 22 and 23.How does it compare to other air shows and is their anything that I should know.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated especially from folks that have been years past.

I was last there in 1997 and really enjoyed it tremendously. It does get hot so try to be there early and stay late. You can get some good sun angles and beat the crowds. The large hangars do offer some respite during the day. The show was opened with a sonic boom from an F-15 flying high overhead. I enjoyed the flybys from the Edwards based Air Force and NASA aircraft. There are some good images from past airshows in the Airliners.net photodata base to give an idea of what you may see.
