C-17 Globemaster Circling Low Over LA?

while driving in brentwood (westside of Los Angeles) I look to my right and I see a c-17 globemaster flying extremely low and circling around. People got out of their cars and stopped what they were doing to see what was going on. Does someone have an answer to this?

Not to say I definitively know the answer, but depending on the time of day (if it was between 1030 and 1100), it could have been RIV's new C-17 (P-140) that was delivered this morning. It had to do some holding for its arrival ceremony at 1115.
