Hi, can anybody tell me if RAF Brise Norton is closed? If so, can anybody tell me how long it's closed for, and why it's closed. I believe the RAF's fleet of TriStars, VC10's and Globemaster's are currently operating out of FFD. Many thanks if anybody is able to help. From Timetable.

RAF Brize Norton is closed for runway repairs till Febuary 2006 as the runway is being totally replaced.

All operational traffic is operating from RAF Fairford (EGVA).

All operational training flights as in Cuircuit training is taking place at RAF Lyneham to keep the traffic down to a minimum and to keep the locals happy!

All RAF C-17 VC-10 L-1011 traffic is operating from Fairford along with many other flights although some traffic is using RAF Lyneham!
