GW Bush, Military Pilot?

Not quite, Tower. Only a fraction of the US military got sent to Vietnam, not ever serviceman who never went there was helped by outsiders.

But you got to agree that serving as a pilot in an interceptor in ANG is pretty safe, and i base my comment on a pice in Newsweek a read during last years presidential campain!

It was a obvious that he didi it just for the "credit" Big grin

(I allso understand that that only a fraction of US military was in Vietnam, compared to deployments in europe during the cold war.)

He would have still had to go to Vietnam if his ANG unit was activated to help support the active Air Force fighter units already over there.
