I saw the Blue Angels today at KMHR. The program got off with a beautiful diamond takeoff. However, rather than join the diamond, the number 4 slot plane flew off and did not rejoin the diamond until after the first pass. Then about half way through the show the number 6 solo plane landed. He was on the ground for about five minutes and then rejoined the show. I have seen many airshows from the Blues, but this was kind of odd.
Any ideas.
Cheers

I was there also, the #6 plane had a maintenance problem if you were in a position to see him you would have got the chance to see him swap airplanes. When he landed he taxied and parked next to lone F-18 at the end of the runway, this was the spare aircraft.

Thanks, I could not see the plane swap through all of the kids on fathers shoulders.
