The first F-22A arrives at Hill AFB for depot work. The aircraft flew directly from Langley.

Interesting. It is carrying the very drop tanks that KC135TopBoom said we will never see used again. Looks pretty operational and standard equiptment to me...

It is standard equipment that can be added and removed just like on most fighters.

It can be "standard" for various stateside ops. You will not see those tanks on the aircraft when they fence in during any combat op.

Sure thats true at the onset of a war, but once air dominance is achieved of course they'll use them. I said its standard equipment, not standard to see it. Our birds don't usually fly with them.
