It sounds like an engine problem!!

It's good to know the pilot ejected safely.

Luke is the home of the supersonic lawn dart, no surprise about one going down. Chock up another success for Martin Baker's Aces ejection seat though.

The ACES II was originally developed by McDonnell Douglas, which then merged with Boeing, which then sold the ACES II production rights to Goodrich in 1999

When the F-16 first came online, it was referred to in jest as the ACES II test bed. Another saying was if you want your own F-16, buy a piece of land near Hill Air Force Base (its first operational location).
