With all the hullabaloo going on in DPRK right now with the possible missle and whatnot, where is the YAL-1 now, and how advanced is the program? Enough to take a pot-shot in the boost phase yet?

No, the tracking and pointing system is still being installed at Wichita. The laser itself won't be installed (at Edwards) until 2007.

No, YAL-1 fell on funding hard times when the Air Force budget started getting pinched excessively a couple of years ago because of the war in Iraq.
