Right now I am in Killeen, Texas on vacation with family and I was outside for a second and a heard a very loud helicopter coming from somewhere and I looked up and here comes a Mil Mi 8 helicopter just screaming past at probably around 150-200 ft! I was very surprised and thought it was cool to see the old Russian bird! Although I didnt get a picture, it was light brown exactly like a M1 Abrams tank. Does anyone know why it was here?

The US Military has plenty of Former Soviet (and now Russian) helicopters and airplanes in the inventory. You can go see them at the "Zoo" at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas (now declassified). Not saying this one was American, but we have several that fly training missions all the time.

I used to work at CLL and the Army brought in their Hind once for some gas, pretty cool to see in person in the middle of Central Texas!

Quoting Cancidas (Reply 2): i saw a pictures of an SU-27 painted in navy markings.
I recall a similar story of an Su-27 being seen at Portland OR IAP, in the mid nineties. It seems the classified bird needed to make a fuel stop. The aircraft was parked at a far-off side of the airport, and the idea was that "hopefully" no one will recognize it.
It is pretty easy to manipulate digital images with the most basic of software. I have been able to make some pretty compelling images with just MS paint. iwork in IT, and some of my users who cannot find the power switch, can make expensive apps like Photoshop and Illustrator sit-up and dance.
