I was reading somewhere that air superiority fighter work with AWACS aircraft to do there job. So I was thinking how would a F-15 or F-22A work with a E-3 Sentry, and how many fighter a E-3 Sentry can support?

THe airshow answer is over 100. Normally as a senior director I have 6 controllers each with a piece of the air pie divided up for control. A/R, OCA, TST, DCA, HVAA and an Assist. But depends on the mission.

Don't forget, from an equipment position, there are different versions of the E-3 AWACS. The USAF version is, most likely, the most capable, followed by the RAF version, NATO version, French version, the JDF E-767, then the RSAF version. But, I would guess all versions could easily handle over 100 fighters each. I would guess the USN and IDF E-2C Hawkeyes, and the RAAF Wedgetail would have similar capabilities.
