I have not heard of any plans for a QF-14, QF-15, or QF-16. But, it would not surprize to see them converted in the future.

The folks who frequent this forum seem to be pretty much in the know so I knew if I asked the question someone would respond. Thanks for the comeback. It'll be interesting to see if any of these birds do become drones.

I would be shocked if we don't see QF-15 and QF-16 drones after they get done shooting down all the QF-4's.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

I was reading an article in Air Forces Monthly a while back about the work at AMARC and the conversion of stored F-4's to QF-4 drones. It said that they are looking at stored F-16's as a potential new QF-16 drone to replace the QF-4 once they run out of drones. There are a lot of them available for conversion and it better represents the agility of modern fighters in tests than the QF-4.
I was wondering, do you guys think the USAF will keep the Vietnam-painted QF-4E that they have flying in their Heritage Flight? I certainly hope so.

The Collings Foundation has an F-4D that I'm sure will be around for some time to come.

Hey, you just answered a question that I was going to post. I was at the Reno Air Races last weekend and there were two F-4s there that took part in heritage flights. I was pretty surprised since I thought all F-4s had been removed service. The quick bit of research I did for the 82nd ATRS pretty much resulted in pictures of F-4 drones.
