Today November 22 2006 a Cessna Caravan belonging to the Colombian Air Force and registered as FAC-5054 crashed while flying between CACOM 5 (SKRG/MDE) and CACOM 4, at Melgar, some miles away from BOG.
The crew was made by Mayor Néstor Hernando Osorio Ozuna, Lieutenant Andrés Echeverri Yépez and the First Technician (an NCO) Alejandro Acosta Dávila. The Lieutenant Echeverry supervised me while I was presenting my intellectual test to enroll next year's officer course. May all the crew rest in peace.

Sad news for those involved. Any word on possible causes for the crash?

Not a word yet. It seems there was very poor weather at the time of the crash, but nothing besides that.
