The death toll in an Iranian military aircraft Antonov-74 crash at Tehran's airport early Monday 11/27/2006 had increased to 39, including 30 members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, police source said.
The plane crashed at the end of the runway, at 7:12 local time (0342 GMT) and burst into flames," he said.
From a report of the official IRNA news agency, a Revolutionary Guards source said the plane caught fire in one of its engines immediately after leaving the runway.

FoxNews reported there was a possible engine failure. But, that has not been confirmed.

This is real sad.Any further information on this so far.I must say that the Antonov 74 is quite a unique looking a/c,just did a search on it to understand the plane a little bit better.
