I was doing Touch and Go's at McConnell today and noticed a VC-25 sitting on the west ramp with all the titles removed. I don't think El Presidente was in town so I'll assume it was going through some maintenance there. Can anyone confirm...

Nope, it was definetly a VC-25. I know the E-4 markings and this was not it. It didn't have the hump behind the upper deck, and the stairs that are built into the lower deck (on the VC-25) just below 1L were also deployed.
I guess this sort of answers my question, but it doesn't specify a date...

This make sense that Boeing Witicha would be doing the heavy C or D checks on these airplanes. They modified them and know them well. BW also use to work on the VC-137s, B-52s, and KC/EC/RC/C/TC/WC/NC/NKC-135s.
