The BBC just showed a short segment on its NW England local slot about the milestone of BAe Systems building the first tail section for the F35 Lightning II. And what video did they show? Yep, an English Electric Lightning. At least it wasn't a P38.

Well the F-35 was named Lightning II for the Lockheed P-38 and the English Electric (now part of BAe) Lightning. You sure it wasn't part of a historical reference?

You would think that for an offical banner like that one above they wouldn't put a naval fighter for the Army NG.
Hmm...

My favorite mistakes are in airplane movies and showing the outside of say a 747, and the interior being something completly different. I can't remember a specific movie off the top of my head though.

I don't know if anyone's seen it, but there's also a commercial for Saab cars that underscores Saab's aerospace experience. So of course, it also shows an F/A-18. At least the website shows a Gripen-

Here's another Saab commercial, this one features an F-22. Sounds like the poster is an a.nutter.
