The BBC has just reported that a USAF B-1B bomber, returning from a mission over Afghanistan, has crashed in the Indian Ocean, on approach to the base leased by the US on the British Island of Degio Garcia. Search and rescue is underway.

CNN confims it. B-1B down approx. 40 miles north of Diego Garcia. Word now is all four members of the crew have been rescued and are aboard a USN vessel.

Crew reportedly radioed that the aircraft reportedly had engine problems. Were 30-40 miles North-West of Diego Garcia. All four have been rescued and are in good condition. God Bless them.
