Following Belgian Teletext,
The aircraft crashed in Wijchmaal-Peer (Belgium).
The aircraft crashed in an open field next airport,
the pilot could eject. There are no injuries.

Yep, no one got injured. The pilot was able to direct the aircraft to an open field. Moment later, he ejected safely, and wasn't injured.

After the crash, the crash site was secured, and surrounders were told to close their windows and doors, because of the toxic hydrazine (this is used when the engine has to be restarted inflight). Later on, a crash unit of the Belgian Air Force came to the location, to investigate all the debris.

Normally, the pilot will fly again within 12 hours after the crasg, just to make sure that he doesn't develop any form of fear of flying...

Correction to my earlier post:

The pilot will not fly for the next couple of days or so. He will play an active role in the crash investigation. After all, he is one of the main witnesses of the incident.

The commanding officer of the aircraft's home, Kleine Brogel AB, (+100km northeast of Brussels) told in an interview to a local TV station that he had never heard of the fact that a pilot should be flying again within the next 12 hours.

Normally, this incident should have no influence on the pilot's career. These accidents do happen
