This is a question to the locals in Delhi,
I just have been to Delhi and noticed that their were two IL76, I think K3013 and K3014 and 2 B707 of the Indian
air force parked on the government ramp.
My question is, the B707 parked in the back looked like that it hasn't been used for a long time, however the
engines were covert. Any information about this B707 and if it is just stored or going to the scrap soon?

Those two have been lying to the south of 10/28 for a while now - they used to be IAF VIP transports before being replaced by the 732's and now the Legacy Jets. Haven't been used in a while.

I have actually heard from a farily reliable source in India that these were never used as VIP transports and that was only an excuse given. They were actually used for some form of intelligence gathering or surveillance. My source wouldn't give me more details
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Thank you for the input. I noticed that the other 707 who was their looked in a good condition and I assume that is
still flying from time to time, also if I am not mistaken it has a sort of inflight refueling rod.
And yes I noticed the amount of government EMB135 flying around as well. How many have they got? The same for the air force B732?
Is that what the Indian prime minister is travelling on when up and about in India?

K-2899 (ex VT-DXT cn 19988) was seen operational last year
K-2900 (ex VT-DVB cn 19248) has probably not flown for a year or 10
There are no pictures of either in the database, I hope someone can make and upload them!
nobody has ever died from hard work, but why take the risk?

That would fit in with N383PA's description!
