ok can some one tell me if it is a good idea to go to the air force or navy to fly because i am 15 and i want to fly when i get older and my mom tells me its a good idea also can you tell me how it is like to be in the airforce or navy thanks

I always wanted to do that; but its a tough course... and you have to remember it is very bad for your health (30 degree ejection seats and stuff) U will kill your back and neck with it. I am now trying to go into civil aviation industry.

Greg, It depends on what your main goal is. The Navy operates Multi engines (P-3 & 737)as well as fighter/attack plane. The airforce has the big ones( 141's, -5 and c-17s) as well as the other jets.
I know a few navy pilots who flew p-3's and the old navy dc-9's and they had no problem getting on with a major airline right out of the service. Its just ones perferrence. Personnally if it doen't have a tail hook it really it doesn't count. : -) dr
