The Netherlands cabinet choose the F-35 (JSF) on February 9th over the Typhoon and Rafale. It seems that the Dutch will procure some 85 examples to replace their current F-16 fleet.

This decision is seen as very influential on Denmark and Norway which also operate the F-16 with the Netherlands in an agreement called the EPAF. European Participating Air Forces which jointly ordered the F-16 together. Belgium is the fourth member but isn't looking to replace their F-16s until 2015.

old news and not strictly true.
The decision was only to participate in development of the aircraft. A purchase decision has been pushed back to an indefinite point after the next election.

While it would be the logical assumption that participation in development would lead to procurement of the finished product, nothing is certain when politicians are involved.
