Where could I find Footage of Dog fighting Video? Like Desert storm video And jet engine type dog fighting clips on the internet or a way to order. I always end up buying something I want to see and it ends up showing military trucks. or (discovery channel) Says they will show dog fighting , so I watch and ends up being back in the days NOAH ARK was around and they end up showing last two minutes of a show of a fighter jet shooting a training video clip (not real)

actually there are gun camera video and HUD videos from many missions. We constantly debrief them.

IT is hard to find them out and about in the civ world.

I would bet that some of the best video is in "Top Gun." (Yeah, the movie.) Ok, a schmaltz story line, but great flying sequences. (Just a side note to my side note. Did you ever notice that when Goose gets killed they are flying over the desert, but when he ejects he winds up in the ocean? SInce the desert training areas where much of this was filmed is about 100 miles east of the ocean...Hmmm  Smile )

2912n, I never watch the movie past the point where Goose gets killed. Is there more flying after that?

Its a good movie But after flying in the real world It got kind of phony to me ,but If it came on you would ketch me watching it. We had an airshow the following summer after that movie came out and the fighter jets from the movie were on display we had a picnic under those big jets.

Yea But a jet moving 1600 MPH Can have engine problems over seattle and crash in PORTLAND,

Want to talkphony movies

eraser, rambo
point break
Are still all my favorite movies but when they jump out of the plane like eraser decides to jump out of a 727 40 seconds after his parachute and chases it down, same with point break KENU REEVES jumps out after SWAYZE with out a parchute in a KING AIR same goes Rambo

I do not even have to talk about IRON EAGLE

Funny you mention that pilots dont film all the time the one that sticks in my mind is a guy who flew in a f-16 And went on a bomb run in IRAQ reall nice peacefull flight took off flew to the target and droped the bomb and then landed. Some how he had a home video camera with him could see it in the reflection.

I know about gun cameras, but you won't get Topgun like movies...
The guy filming a bombing run over Iraq would not have been able to do that if he had had a MiG on his tail...

To be honest, HUD cameras are quite boring to watch after a while. You will never see the other a/c (except for possibly a quick flash), because he REALLY doesn't want to be flying in front of you. What you're really looking for is a helmet-mounted video, which means you're likely to be watching a test flight.

I doubt that you'll be able to get anything out of them, but Quintiq (formerly the Defence Evaluation and Research Agency - sort of an equivalent to DARPA in the States) at Boscombe Down do the majority of this type of flying for the UK. Their new website (quintiq.com) is poor - it advertises the agency as a consultancy rather than provides any useful information. However, it may get better in the future and you may be able to get contact names. Look for references to the Empire Test Pilots' School (ETPS).

Let us know if you do succeed!

Check the back of some of the magazines like Airliners, Airlienr world etc....Some of the videos that are offered for sale are pretty good and may have what you want.

I just visited what was McClellen AFB in Sacramento. They had a pretty good collection of videos and CD's for sale....SO check with air museums...

Iron Eagle? Is that the one with the F-16's in desert camouflage colors (no markings, obviously not USAF) as the good guys and grey Kfirs as the bad guys?

LY744.
