Hi there guys,
I've been asked to write a paper on "Pilot Safety in Military Aircraft" which isn't exactly great for me as, being honest, my preffered area of aviation is civil. None-the-less the paper muct be written lol.
I've tried googleing it but the results have given me nothing of any use. I was wondering if any of you know of any online resources (or offline ones too) which may help me find some useful infomation about this topic.
as usual, any help is greatly appreciated,
thanks in advance,
regards,
-Spence-
P.S. I did start a similar topic last year for another paper I had to write about civil aviation, I was planning to post again there so as not to start another thread but the thread had been archived and I couldn't add to it. Sorry if there was a way to do this and I've wasted the mod's time by starting a new thread

Should be easy if you account for all the private warbirds that seem to crash being flown by non military trained folks. It seems like this forum has always has a thread about a military surplussed acft killing its weekend unexperianed pilot

Link to the Canadian Air Force Flight Safety web page it has links to their Flt Safety Magazine http://www.airforce.forces.gc.ca/dfs/home-accueil-eng.asp
Or are you looking for specific things that make pilots safe eg Ejection Seats ? If so search for Martin Baker etc

That's exactly it - certain things. Any ideas what I could search for aswell as Martin Baker. If not manufacturers of safety equipment, maybe a type of safety device (ejector seat for example).
BTW: Thanks a lot for your quick responses guys!

The main manufacturers are Martin Baker based at Chalgrove in the UK. Goodrich who now markets the ACES II system after various mergers and Zvezda in Russia who make the seats for MiGs and Sukhois.

Once again, Thankyou all so much for the links, they've helped a helluva lot!
Must go to bed now, I'm up at 9am - Ironically enough for a meeting with my lecturer about this paper lol - Then another aerospace lecture with the same guy. Methinks he'll be pleased with the progress made thus far.
Once again thanks guys - and good night!
