Would any of you know where the Rafale jet fighter bases are (in France)?
Are there any stationed at Istres? Toul? Any other air bases?
Something must be cooking...
I have just noticed some low flyovers by a group of Rafale fighter jets almost right above my window as I was having lunch in my kitchen. They came from the South over the sea toward the mountains. There is an air base in Corsica. Maybe they came from there;
One of them made a turn around at a relatively low speed for such a machine and headed West.
I have a very far distant view on the sea and mountains facing toward Italy (Liguria). This time they came much closer and lower than usual.
One of them just came back at a low height making a sharp turnaround over Monte Carlo heading back North-East to the Alps.
I guess there will be more. This is rather unusual. It's been about a year since I have seen fighters flying over this area.
There was a better way to fly it was called Concorde

It might be they're conducting an in-country exercise that brought the airplanes over your area. I don't know where the Rafales are based, though I believe all are based in France and not in another other country.
