The Army wants to establish another Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB), bringing the Active duty CAB's to 12. The Army National Guard has 8 CABs. The CAB's come in three types( Light, Medium, Heavy). I believe there are only two Medium CABs and they belong to the 101st Division.
Right now the following Active Divisions Have CAB's:
101st Airborne DIvision, Fort Campbell
2 Medium CAB's
82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg
Combat Aviation Brigade
10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum
Light Combat Aviation Brigade
1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss
Heavy Combat Aviation brigade
1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood
Heavy Combat Aviation Brigade
1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley Kansas
Heavy Combat Aviation Brigade
2nd Infantry Division, Korea
Heavy Combat Aviation brigade
3rd Infantry Division, Hunter Army Airfield
Heavy Combat Aviation Brigade
25th Infantry Division, Hawaii (some in Alaska)
Light Combat Aviation Brigade
12th Aviation Brigade, Ansbach Germany
Heavy Combat Aviation Brigade
The obvious place to establish a 12th CAB would be with the 4th Infantry Division at Butts Army Airfield Colorado. That would be a Heavy CAB, or they could also establish the new CAB at either Fort Lewis or Fort Polk. The cost to establish a new CAB is pegged at about $3 Billion.

For the most part, his information is correct, but the problem is that there is no set uniformity amongst all brigades. Some divisions require different needs and will be augmented with additional, or less, aircraft as the mission dictates.
The differences are also found amongst medivac units, which have recently been intergrated into the GSAB format. Whereas they were once apart of their own force structure within the Army Medical Corps, and the air assets techincally fell under their command.
Although I cannot comment in depth on regular Army operations, since I no longer work in the regular Army. The additional CAB will be useful, considering the overall Army has increased its size dramatically.
But I still remain completely convinced that STT757's suggestion that the regular Army needs V-22s, is completely baseless!

Well at least we agree the 160th could find a use for them, I'll admit I'm a big V-22 supporter. If it were up to me I would deploy them with all the services, even the Coast Guard. I know it's steep price, it's not an alternative to the UH-60 or CH-47s price wise. But I'm sure there's a mission in the Army, even if it involves only 60 or so frames.
As for the additional Active Duty CAB as you mentioned the Grow the Army plan calls for six additional Infantry Brigade Combat teams, based at Fort Carson, Fort Stewart, Fort Bliss and White Sands Missile range. If they are going to add six BCT's an additional CAB is definately needed.

Modular Brigades are supposed to correct this, everything is supposed to be plug and play. All Brigades Combat Teams are supposed to transform into Heavy, Light, Medium, Stryker etc.. Same with aviation (save the Stryker category). In theory it makes perfect sense, in real world execution I suppose it's not that easy.

The 3rd Infantry Division and the 10th Mountain Division CAB's will be both converting to Medium Combat Aviation Brigades, right now the 3rd Infantry Division CAB at Hunter Army Airfield is a Heavy CAB and the 10th Mountain Division CAB at Wheeler Sack Army Airfield New York is a Light CAB.
A battalion of OH-58s from the 10th Mountain Division currently in Iraq will not return to Fort Drum New York, instead they will go straight to Savanah Georgia to join the 3rd Infantry Division, in exchange a Battalion of AH-64D's from the 3rd Infantry Division will transfer to the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum New York.
So basically the 3rd ID is going from two AH-64D's Battalions to one OH-58 Battalion and one AH-64D battalion, and the 10th Mountain Division is going from two OH-58 battalions to one OH-58 Battalion and one AH-64D battalion.
